We've noticed that there are many of our resellers who don't know the fact that we have increased the transfer for colocation, virtual private servers and dedicated servers from 10 Mbps to 100 Mbps.
All our resellers do now have gigabit connection and 100 Mbps transfer with the possibility to burst according to the burstable billing method. This post will cover how this change will effect your business and the options you're facing.
What does This Mean to Your Business?
We want to give you every possibility to use as much bandwidth and transfer as you want without needing to worry about transfer limits and costs. This is one step in that direction.
The possibility to burst is available using the 98th percentile rule so that you can use the full 1 Gbps connection 2 percent of the time, which equals approximately 14 hours per month, without any additional charges. With the increased bandwidth limits you get approximately 30 TB juice instead of the previously 3 TB. You can choose to either stay within the limits of 100 Mbps on average, or just transfer as much as you want and get charged for excess traffic. The amount of excess traffic will be metered in GB and billed using the same aggressively low transfer rates as for our Content Delivery Network (CDN) service.
The increase gives you a lot more possibilities to run more complex applications that may enhance the perception and quality of your customers services. You can offer transfer consuming services that will take your customer's business to a whole new level.
No Worries about Excess Transfer
Our systems monitors all transfers and we will not charge you for something you haven't agreed to. This means that we will notice you if the limits are exceeded so you can take appropriate actions to either limit the transfer to 100 Mbps or keep on going, paying according to what we stated earlier in this blog post.
We are, as always, open to give you the solutions you want. Should your customers be needing even more transfer on a regular basis, just contact us and we will make sure to give you a really competitive pricing for that as well.
